Environmental Issues in the Bridgeton City Park

March 2, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Speaker: Emma Witt, Stockton University

Emma Witt is an assistant professor of Environmental Studies at Stockton University, a position she has held since September of 2014. Her main areas of interest and research are in surface water hydrology and water quality, particularly in applied research that can be used to help solve problems.

In the fall of 2016, she taught “Environmental Issues”, the senior capstone course required of all Environmental Science majors at Stockton. Working in teams, the students in this course tackled a number of aspects of the natural resources and environmental sciences at Bridgeton City Park, including work on Sunset Lake and the Cohansey River.

Her talk will touch on all aspects of the work done with the students, and will also focus on upcoming research opportunities in the Cohansey Watershed. The program is free and open to the public.
